Using NMServer for OpenVMS with Compaq Insight Manager (CIM)  7
		Integration Instructions - 2/22/06

1. Create a Device Type for NMServer for OpenVMS managed devices.  NOTE: This step is only necessary
    if you have installed NMServer for OpenVMS as a DPI agent.

	a. Click on the "Tools" icon
	b. Select the "Device Type Mgr" menu option
	c. Select "New (SNMP)..." in the Device Category Information dialogue box
	d. Enter the following information in the Add New SNMP Category dialogue box
		Device Type:		Server
		Product Name:		NMServer for OpenVMS
		System Object Identifier:	1.3.6.1.4.1.597.4.2
		Priority:			1
	e. Click "Add" to add this device type

2. Upload and Register NMServer for OpenVMS MIB files:

	a. Move the files comtekVMS.mib and comtekVMS.rev to the directory:
	       \Program Files\COMPAQ\Compaq Insight Manager 7 SP1\compaq\protocol\snmp\MIBS
	b. Click on the "Tools" icon
	c. Click on the "SNMP Extensions" menu option
	d. Select the "SNMP MIB Upload" menu option
	e. Click on the "Browse..." button and browse to 
	      \Program Files\COMPAQ\Compaq Insight Manager 7 SP1\compaq\protocol\snmp\MIBS\comtekVMS.mib
	f. Click on "Upload"
	g. Select the "MIB Registration" menu option
	h. Scroll to the bottom of the Unregistered MIBs list and select comtekVMS.mib
	i. Under Options For Register select "Use Editfile" and set the "Register" option
	j. Click on the "Register" button
	k. When registration is complete, the comtekVMS.mib file will appear on the Registered MIBs list
	l. Use the "Edit Registered MIB" button or the "SNMP Trap Categories" menu option to review
	   and modify the trap configuration for the comtekVMS MIB

3. Run CIM's discovery tool.
